7月6日至10日，外国语学院吴攸博士参加了在巴西Belo Horizonte举办的第五届国际翻译与跨文化协会（IATIS）会议，本次会议的主题是"Innovation Paths in Translation and Intercultural Studies"。为期一周的大会吸引了来自世界各国的三百余名代表参会，其中不乏Mona Baker、Jeremy Munday等知名学者，吴攸博士在会上宣读了题为"Translation and Soft Power in a Globalizing World: A Chinese Perspective"的论文。
